This restaurant and our whole experience was nothing short of spectacular. My husband and I were in Paris for our honeymoon and treated ourselves to a lunch at Le Cinq for our six month anniversary.

This was our first time dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant, and such a fancy one at that. The staff was very attentive and they never made you feel stupid, even after I tried to cut into a jelly-like serving dish that I thought was edible.

We opted for the 4-course prix fixe, but as you'll see in the photos it was so much more! It was so filling and it made for a very relaxing lunch. Everything was delicious but my favorite would have to be the white asparagus - it was so savory and like nothing I've tasted before. Dessert was oh so good and at the very end of the meal they wheel the dessert tower where you get your own box of sweets to take home.

    What an absolutely memorable experience!

We only had time to come for lunch, but it's actually nice to be in the dining room during the day. The setting is gorgeous with a very elegant French feel, and I loved the gorgeous white hydrangeas everywhere.

We did a 4 course lunch for €150, which is a pretty hot deal compared to their regular dinner tasting.

    First amuse:
    - Parmesan cheese waffle: the highlight for me
    - Pear truffle
    - Artichoke and ricotta cheese tart
    - Wild mushroom bread - it tasted kind of like great pizza crust with mushrooms

    Bread service:
    - Baguette
    - Puff pastry with flax seeds
    - Salted butter from Brittany

    Second amuse:
    Mushroom purée with hazelnuts

    First course:
Tomato tartare with sorrel sorbet and traditional accompaniments, squid ink cracker. The flavor was spot on for the tartare, and the cool sorbet was a nice contrast.

    Second course:
One of their signature dishes - spaghetti gratin with artichoke and parmesan milk. It's individual spaghetti lined up perfectly in a circle around more spaghetti and a creamy mushroom filling. The parmesan milk is super rich and flavorful.

    Entree:
They had a warm smoked salmon or a pork belly, but neither was really my thing, and they were nice enough to prepare a beef dish for me. It was a medium rare beef with truffle sauce and mushrooms, wrapped in fresh mozzarella.

    Pre- dessert:
Poached yellow leach, gnocchi peach (never had this before!), and lavender ice cream.

    Chocolates:
    - Lime mousse with chocolate
    - Cherry flavored: the intense cherry filling inside bursts in your mouth
    - Hazelnut: my friend described it as an "elevated Ferrero Rocher," which was a great description

    Dessert:
Strawberries with chantilly cream, sparkling granita, popping sugar, and a strawberry tuillex

To go: they pack you a cute little bag with goodies for later - kouign amann and a box of candies.

It was a great dining experience with very special food preparations.

Service was impeccable, and yet the servers had a great sense of humor and were very approachable.

It is only fitting that my 700th review be for one of the most memorable dining experiences I have ever had to date - Le Cinq.

We were staying next door at the Prince de Galles so when I saw there was a 3 star Michelin restaurant walking distance away it was really too good to pass up for our first night in Paris.  The Four Seasons is a gorgeous property and it only adds to the experience at Le Cinq.  Jacket is required for gentlemen but honestly this place is so nice that it makes you want to dress up.

I read that you can find equally exquisite cuisine at either a 2 star or 3 star Michelin establishment.  The difference is in the level of service.  We were absolutely blown away by the level of service once we were seated at the restaurant.  No less than 5 different staff came up to us between the waiter, assistant waiter, manager, sommelier, assistant sommelier, runners, it was amazing.  They even brought a stool for my wife to set her purse on next to the table.

We were not hungry enough to go with the 6 course tasting menu so we decided to go a la carte and I am glad we did as we left absolutely full and we did not even order desert.  Before our entrees arrived there were 3 different amuse bouche dishes and some of the most amazing fresh bread.  Even the butter was freaking awesome.

I thought it was a joke when they brought the wine list over as it is as thick as a Harry Potter novel.  After scanning the pages with the help of the assistant sommelier we went with an awesome Burgundy.  At 200€ it was nowhere near most expensive wines from this region but it was an amazing selection.

Our entrees were both spectacular.  I went with the truffle spaghetti "box" which comes stuffed with artichoke and ham with some gold leaf on top over a truffle sauce.  Such a decadent and unique dish.   The wife went with the seabass with caviar and "buttermilk from my childhood".  Needless to say this was one of the most rich, creamy presentations of fish we have ever had.

Next we went with a cheese selection which was incredibly impressive. The assistant waiter brought over an immense box which when opened contained an incredible selection of various cheese from around the world.  We really enjoyed tasting several different styles from sharp to sweet and could not eat more than one plate between the two of us although you can have as much as you want.

We were absolutely too full to even order dessert but our amazing staff sent us some complimentary dessert bites anyway.  Of course each bite was so amazing my palate was blown away.  After this just in case they wheeled the dessert cart over anyway for us to check it out but we couldn't even eat one bite more.

However, our staff wasn't done.  They brought us a bag of pastries from the kitchen for us to eat the next day for breakfast and a box of caramels for us to enjoy later.  This staff were absolutely incredible and really made our experience special.

I have no idea how anyone can possibly go with the 6 course tasting menu with everything else they give you here.  Next time I visit we may do the 4 course lunch as this seems like a more reasonable amount of food and seems like a great deal for the price.

Overall we were just so blown away by this experience.  We've been to amazing restaurants around the globe and Le Cinq is definitely at the top.  It is definitely not cheap but it is worth every penny in my opinion.  It was a date night that I definitely won't ever forget.

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate an anniversary. I always get nervous getting tasting menus as I am somewhat of a picky eater but they were extremely accommodating here. Each meal was meticulously prepared and delicious. The servers were gracious and kind. The flavors in each of the dishes worked so well together. The desert blew my mind. All the vegetables were extremely fresh and the meats were incredibly tender and flavorful. The ambience was nice but not what I expected in a Four Seasons Hotel. It was a bit simplistic tucked away at the back end of the hotel. All in all it was a memorable experience and well worth the money spent.
